Apparel Production Coordinator

We are seeking an Apparel Production Coordinator to join Pedal Mafia’s Operations Team. The ideal candidate will manage daily communication between Pedal Mafia and our factories to ensure proper execution of all orders and development samples. This role will oversee all aspects that apply to pre-production and production such as sample requests and product development.

Knowledge of textile, fabrics, fiber garment, clothing, design, supply chain, R&D, shipping logistics, import, and export is desired. Understanding of sales, marketing, wholesale strategy, merchandising, and product development is a plus but not a must. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning production schedule to meet demand and product launch deadlines
  • Manage, WIP reports on a weekly basis in conjunction with production / sourcing team, for all products on order from production status through final delivery into 3PL / warehouse to ensure timely delivery
  • Communicate with manufacturing vendors to ensure that design intent, quality, and product deadlines are met
  • Assist the QC of physical goods from samples through production
  • Write purchase orders for production trims and materials
  • Review and process invoices and ensure timely payment
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for product production 
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners

We are seeking an Apparel Product Designer to join Pedal Mafia’s Design Team in our efforts to conceptualize and design the world’s best cycling products. The ideal candidate will identify and interpret key market trends and execute seasonal product strategies to drive the brand forward. The position is located at the Pedal Mafia HQ in Perth, Australia and reports to the Head Product Designer.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake research and analysis using media, shopping, internet, travel etc. to establish key style, color, fabric, technique & innovation concepts for seasonal launches.
  • Collaborate with Head Product Designer & Creative Director on establishing key seasonal product stories.
  • Present to internal and external parties at various different key points throughout each season.
  • Manage finalization of product from concept to production.
  • Ensure technical specification packs are completed accurately and on time.
